Julie Harwood at Feet First Mobile Footcare would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year. We hope you had a good time over Christmas and that you’re still managing to stick to your resolutions for 2016.

Have you taken up a new exercise regime?

Sometimes when we start taking more exercise than we normally would we get all kinds of aches and pains, some of them are good ones, they are the ones that prove we are doing the right thing and working our bodies in a positive way, others may be our bodies letting us know that something may be wrong, for example, please take notice if your feet become painful or sore. One of the important issues when you start the gym or running is that you have the correct footwear. Make sure your trainers fit you properly, that they don’t rub and cause you discomfort. The last thing anyone needs to put a stop to their resolution is achy, painful feet! Running or jogging while wearing poorly fitting footwear can highlight, and cause, many issues, such as corns, hard skin or ingrown toenails. All of these are easily treatable by a professional chiropody service.

Julie Harwood is here to help, she is an Associate Member of The Institute of Chiropodists and Podiatrists and an expert in treating all types of foot problems. Ingrown toenails can result in inflammation and infection and make exercise extremely painful, maybe even impossible. It’s important that you have your nails and feet treated by a professional, the earlier you seek treatment for hard skin, corns and bunions, verrucae, and athletes foot the better. Often all it takes is one visit from Julie at Feet First Mobile Footcare for you to feel some relief and to help put a spring back in your step.

This year is shaping up to be a good one for Julie and her mobile foot care service. She is delighted to announce that her clients in the Clitheroe area can now visit her new clinic at 16 Castlegate (above the Up & Running store). Julie knows how important her mobile foot care service is to her customers and will still be available to treat all your foot care needs in the comfort of your own home. The clinic in Clitheroe is open every Monday, old and new customers are welcome to receive their treatment here if in the area. Please remember that for those of you who are too far away to come and see her new premises, Julie still travels to Blackburn, Blackpool, Lytham St Annes, Bolton, Preston and Manchester.

For any foot care issues that we’ve mentioned or others that are troubling you Julie is just a phone call away. Happy feet make happy people. Call Julie now on 0781 396 9006
