Isn’t it wonderful to finally be seeing a bit of sunshine? It’s still only coming out for a day or so for now, but at least there feels like a promise of summer coming, and that puts everyone is such a good mood! It seems to put a smile on most people’s faces, and of course we Brits love to make the most of it. The second the sun comes out, it doesn’t even have to be that warm,  we put our strappy tops on, our favourite shorts and fish our flip flops out from the back of the wardrobe where they’ve been hiding since, well, since the summer of 2014, because we didn’t get to wear them last year did we, 2015 was more of a welly wearing summer!

I don’t know about you but I always feel a bit self-conscious when I first let my pasty white body see the sunshine, it feels odd not to have many clothes on and strange to be able to feel the air round my feet.

Then of course there’s the shame, and most of us suffer this one, the shame of what our feet look like when they’re not trapped in socks and shoes. It doesn’t take long for hard skin to form on our feet, particularly around the heels and toes, when this skin gets too dry it can become rough, cracked and unsightly.

There really isn’t any need to worry about inflicting your horrible heels on the general public though, dry calloused skin is easily removed when you have a professional do it for you. It’s easy to ignore damage to our toe nails when they are hidden by socks and shoes or slippers, but it’s not so easy to disguise in grown toe nails in sandals, the treatment for this painful and often unattractive problem is best dealt with by a professional foot care specialist.
